Al Saud Using Terror, Military Force to Keep Power
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A former congressional staffer based in Los Angeles said the Saudi regime is nearing its end, noting that the kingdom is resorting to “terror and military force to hold onto power” and survive.
“I personally believe the Saudi puppet regime is near collapse and realizes it must more and more rely on terror and military force to hold onto power,” Rodney Martin told the Tasnim News Agency.
Following is the full text of the interview.
Tasnim: For almost two years, the Yemeni civilians have been targets of cruel attacks and airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition. Yemen’s Legal Center for Rights and Development, an independent monitoring group, has recently put the civilian death toll at 12,041, including 2,568 children and 1,870 women. According to the United Nations, nearly 3.3 million people in Yemen, including 2.1 million children, are acutely malnourished because of the war and total siege imposed on them. They include 460,000 children under age of five with the worst form of malnutrition, who risk dying of pneumonia or diarrhea. Why is the international community so indifferent to the heinous crimes committed by the Al Saud regime in the Arabian Peninsula country?
Martin: I think one reason for the outrageous silence to the Saudi war crimes is Islamophobia and outright racism. Clearly, in the eyes of Western Media, Muslim/Arab Lives DO NOT matter. Also there is no doubt that the Western puppet regime in Riyadh is being protected by western governments. We see that the Saudi Crown Prince recently visited Donald Trump. Trump referred to the Saudis as “very good people” despite the fact that Trump’s “very good people” terrorize their own people, behead people in public, imprison their own Princesses who speak out on behalf of the oppressed people and wage a Nazi-German like war on the poor nation of Yemen. The Western media is as complicit with Saudi Arabia’s atrocities in Yemen as it was in Iraq’s atrocities against Iran in its war crimes in the Iran-Iraq War waged by then western puppet Saddam Hussein.
